Cleveland, Ohio-based Obnox, fronted by vocalist and electric guitarist Lamont “Bim” Thomas and currently rounded out by Aaron Snorton (turntables and controls) and Butch Webster (drums), melds fuzz punk, garage, soul, and hip-hop into a catchy concoction that has yielded six full-length records on Smog Veil, 12XU, and Ever/Never.

Through the lo-fi shrapnel, Thomas, formerly of Puffy Areolas, Bassholes, and This Moment in Black History, emphasizes songwriting with a pop elan that’s both DIY and accessible.
